We are excited to announce that Austria has recently signed the "European Declaration on Quantum Technologies," pledging to collaborate in developing a world-class quantum technology ecosystem in Europe. This initiative, led by the European Commission, aims to enhance European sovereignty, security, innovation, and job creation.
As part of this commitment, Austria will support the commercialization of quantum technologies with €8 million in funding through the Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) and the FFG Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH.

Technological development needs basic research as a foundation, such as that conducted at the highest level in the Quantum Science Austria Cluster of Excellence. Conversely, the latest technologies enable breakthroughs at the frontiers of our knowledge. In the Quantum Pact, the states undertake to promote both areas to the best of their ability.”
