3rd quantA Workshop @University of Innsbruck

On November 7 and 8, the 3rd quantA workshop will take place at the University of Innsbruck, offering the perfect opportunity to network with the Austrian quantum community.

It is a great pleasure to announce the 3rd quantA Workshop, at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, on November 7-8, 2024.

This is the 3rd workshop of the Cluster of Excellence "Quantum Science Austria". It will be a perfect opportunity to connect the Austrian quantum science community, to network and to get to know the latest scientific findings in the field. Researchers, postdocs, and PhD students are all highly encouraged to participate (inlcuding those who are not funded through quantA). There will be ample time between talks for informal discussions, a poster session, and a joint dinner.

It is also a great chance to meet up with your Core Project teams and/or to form new collaborations and foster new ideas.

This workshop consists of invited talks, a poster session, a postdoc session, as well as a session on the upcoming "UNESCO International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025", followed by lab tours on Friday afternoon.

TRAVEL INFORMATION:

Traveling to Innsbruck:

Best option to travel to Innsbruck from Vienna, Klosterneuburg, Linz etc. is by train. You can either take the ÖBB Railjet or the Westbahn and get directly to Innsburck Mainstation.

From the main station, you can take bus lines F or R, who run every 15 and every 8 minutes to "Klinik/Universität". From the bus stop, it is a 3 minute walk to the Main University building at Innrain 52.

Most city center hotels are a 10-15 minute walk away from the main university buidling at Innrain 52.

Getting around Innsbruck:

Innsbruck Card:
for those of you, who are staying two and more nights, you will get the "Innsbruck Card" at your hotel, where public tranport is included.

Otherwise, tickets for the tram and bus lines can be purchased at ticket machines at bus stops. A single ride is 3€.
