Schrödinger, Austria and Innsbruck – The Innsbruck Physics Lecture 2025 by Prof. Sir David Clary FRS

1925 marks the centenary of quantum mechanics. During Christmas of that year, Schrödinger made the great discovery of his equation and wave mechanics. Although he held appointments in ten cities across six countries, Schrödinger always longed to return to his homeland,

Austria, and he had a special link with Innsbruck. Drawing on fresh insights from his recent biography, Schrödinger in Oxford, David Clary will explore these fascinating features in the life of this remarkable theoretical physicist.
