At Quantum Science Austria, we believe that diversity drives innovation. That’s why we are excited to announce a special Fellowship Call for Women in Quantum Science, aimed at supporting early-career female researchers in pursuing cutting-edge projects in one of quantA’s three core research areas:
Quantum Nature of Space, Time, and Gravity (STG)
New Paradigms for Quantum Information Science (QIS)
Physics of Engineered Quantum Many-Body Systems (MBS)
Why This Call?
Women remain underrepresented in quantum science, and we aim to change that. By providing targeted funding and support, the quantA Fellowship seeks to:
Promote gender equality in the quantum science community
Support career development for women researchers
Attract international talent and foster collaboration within Austria’s quantum network
Program Details:
Duration: Up to two years
Funding: FWF/KV salary + €10,000/year research budget
Start date: No later than January 1, 2026
Host institutions: University of Innsbruck, ISTA, JKU Linz, University of Vienna, Austrian Academy of Sciences, TU Vienna
